Use Orbit on your phone

Read and edit your notes from your phone with a UI built for small screens.

Orbit’s phone experience lives at orbit.sprocket365.com/m. Sign in with the same Microsoft account you use on desktop. Inside the Microsoft Teams mobile app, the Orbit Wiki tab opens the phone experience automatically.

Orbit opens straight into the workspace you used last — or a workspace picker the first time. The bottom bar switches between views:

  • Files — the folder tree. Expand folders, star bookmarks, and long-press a note or folder for its actions. Sort by changes the order.
  • Recent — notes you opened recently on this device.
  • Bookmarks — notes you have bookmarked.
  • Search — opens a search sheet. Recent searches appear first; title matches show as you type and content matches follow. If nothing matches, Create ”…” makes a note with that name and opens it for editing.
  • Ask Orbit — appears when your organization has turned on Ask Orbit, and opens Ask in its own sheet with chat history, note attachments, and streaming answers.

Tap the workspace name at the top to Switch workspace, and the gear icon for settings. Pull down on any list to refresh it.

If you can edit the workspace, the + button next to the view heading opens Create: New note or New folder. A new note opens straight in editing mode. Long-press a folder for New note inside and New folder inside.

Deleted notes move to Recently deleted — a row at the bottom of Files — where you can restore them. Permanent deletion is not available on the phone; use the desktop trash for that (Versions, export, and trash).

Notes open in reading mode with a Note tools bar: Outline jumps to a heading, Linked notes shows related notes and backlinks, Bookmark toggles the bookmark, and Edit starts writing.

While editing, a toolbar above the keyboard offers Bold, Italic, Heading, Bullet list, Checklist, Numbered list, Quote, Undo, Redo, and Done. Mobile uses the same block editor and live collaboration as desktop, including image uploads, and the header shows how many people are in the note with you.

The note’s actions sheet includes Rename, Move to…, Copy link, Jump to heading, Export as PDF, Ask Orbit, Claude and ChatGPT (hand the note to an AI client), Open in OneDrive or Open in SharePoint, and Delete.

Tap the gear icon to open the settings sheet:

  • Appearance — pick System or any theme from the theme grid.
  • Font size — step the note text size between 12 and 24.
  • Editor — toggle Accent color in editor, Related notes footer, and Spellcheck.
  • Sign out — end your session. Inside Teams this signs you out of Orbit’s tab only, not out of Teams.

Do I need to install anything? No. The phone experience runs in your mobile browser. In Teams mobile, it runs inside the Orbit Wiki tab.

Can I collaborate in real time from my phone? Yes. Mobile editing uses the same live collaboration as desktop — see Edit together in real time.
