Files and limits
This page lists what Orbit stores and edits, what it imports, and the limits behind each.
Files Orbit edits

All of these live as regular files in your OneDrive folder or SharePoint library — see Where your notes live.
Files Orbit converts into notes
Section titled “Files Orbit converts into notes”Import converts these into markdown notes — see Import files:
- From your device:
.docx,.pdf,.txt, and markdown files, up to 10 MB each. - From OneDrive or SharePoint:
.docxand.pdffiles.
Files Orbit stores as-is
Section titled “Files Orbit stores as-is”Anything else — images, PDFs you want to keep as PDFs, reference documents — uploads unchanged into the workspace, up to 250 MB per file. Images you insert into a note upload the same way and embed in place.
Export formats
Section titled “Export formats”Notes export to PDF, Word (.doc), and raw Markdown — see Versions, export, and trash.
