Workspace Settings
Workspace settings show how Orbit is connected to Microsoft 365 and who can work in the space.
Open settings from the workspace switcher or the main settings dialog.
General
Section titled “General”The General section shows:
- Workspace name.
- Storage summary.
- Provider.
- Location.
- A link to open the connected location in Microsoft 365 if Orbit has one.
Users with the write role or higher can rename a workspace. Pick names that make sense outside Orbit too, because teammates may see the related files in Microsoft 365.
Access
Section titled “Access”The Access section explains that Microsoft 365 permissions decide who can view or edit notes in this workspace.
Use Invite user to grant direct access to a person. Orbit applies the access in Microsoft 365 so the permission source remains the tenant.
Templates
Section titled “Templates”The Templates section lists workspace templates saved from notes.
Use templates for repeated formats such as:
- Meeting notes.
- Incident reviews.
- Project briefs.
- Customer research summaries.
- Weekly updates.
Users with the write role or higher can delete workspace templates.
