Comments and Mentions

Comments are for discussion about specific text, sections, or ideas. Use them when a question should stay attached to the work.

  1. Select the text or section you want to discuss.
  2. Choose the comment action.
  3. Write the comment.
  4. Submit it.

The comment stays anchored to the selected content while the text still exists.

Open the comment and reply in the thread.

Resolve a comment when the question has been answered or the requested change has been made.

You can filter comment threads by:

  • Active.
  • Resolved.
  • All.

Reopen a resolved thread when the issue returns or the resolution was incomplete.

Use reactions from the comment thread when they are available.

Use @ in the comment composer when someone needs to see the thread. Search for the person, select them, finish the comment, and submit it.

Mentions appear in the activity or notification area. A mention does not grant access by itself.

People need access to the note to see or interact with comments. If someone cannot open a comment link, check workspace or note-specific sharing.

If you mention someone who cannot open the note, share the note with them or invite them to the workspace.

Use the comments panel to review active threads. Use Activity and Notifications to find replies and mentions addressed to you.
